DISCONNECT CIRCUIT BREAKER!!!. Remove oven door. Remove two screws that attach the element to the back of the oven, and two screws that secure element to the oven roof, then remove element. Had to be careful that the four wires don't slip into the back of the oven (difficult) to keep them from falling back as they are very short. Remove and replace element. Burners were an exact match for the originals and the pans fit perfectly. Vastly improved the appearance of an old cook top and allowed us to to not have to replace it before our home goes up for sale. Read more

Took out the old element and checked with olm meter determined bad, no continuity. Orded new Element from Appliance Parts Pros. Had new one in less than 2 days easy fix. Read more

Did research to determine what might cause problem. Determined that it was either the infinity switch or the triple haliant burner. Watched several YouTube videos on testing the infinity switch, but none exactly replicated this switch. Chatted with AppliancePartsPros.com on a Saturday on how to test, but later determined I needed more information, so I posted a question on the APP page for the triple burner. I wanted to get the upper oven baking element replaced; it hasn't been working for a few months. This double oven has had two other issues, there is a fan that comes on to cool the electronics panel, That fan has made excessive noise and it operates for 2-3 hours after the oven turns off. The other problem with the oven is the Self-Cleaning feature runs for about 15-30 minutes and then turns off with an error code. Easy fix. Both elements replaced while I was at it, so all new. Figured if one went the other was going to follow. CIRCUIT BREAKER OFF. Removed the back metal panel with my nut driver for the hex head screws. Note where the panel may slip under tabs for support. Remove slip on electrical connections on upper and lower elements. May need a pliers. (I did not want to just pull the element and the wires into the oven with the element and remove them there, like a technician would do. After 15... Read more

Once I received the element within three days, I simply removed the other element by unclipping and unplugging lugs in rear. Placed the new one in clips and connected lugs and all was good! Read more

The dryer is a Kenmore Laundry Center, model 417-99570150. Bought in 1998, so it is an older model. Not wanting to buy the newer ones that are out now. We opted to fix the Kenmore. Just believe the older models are worth fixing, if at all possible. Frist we had to figure out what parts we would need and if the cost would be worth our time. I wasn't sure if it was the heating element surface, the receptacle or the switch. My wife does some canning so it had some good use. It turned out to be the receptacle. I purchased the element as well thinking it needed replaced anyway. All works now. All three items are/would be easy to change. Read more
