So this is a poor design in the first case. Not having a center support in the back almost guarantees a failure there eventually. I first thought it was the auger in the ice container so I changed it and it was not the problem. I then talked to ApplianceParts customer service that it might be the yoke on the motor that turned the auger or even the motor itself even though it worked. I ordered the parts, the yoke was supposed to be able to be changed by itself but mind would not come off the motor shaft so I had to cut it off just to remove it from the unit so I had to change the motor anyway because of this. After checking other reviews, we decided it was best to replace the interlocks, cam and all three switches. You're going to need a phillips screwdriver, star driver, small screwdriver and needle nose pliers. You need to remove the ONE Phillips screw above the control panel inside the vent. The contol panel is on hinges that you can slide up and towards you. Using caution remove the wires noting how they're connected. Pinch the top of the white connectors and wiggle them free. If the freezer is cold and the fridge is hot, logic would indicate that the fan blowing the cold air from the freezer into the refrigerator is not working. Searched the ApplicancePartsPros.com website for a fan in the freezer compartment and found the video on how to replace one. Followed the steps in the video to get the freezer partially disassembled and found the whole back of the freezer frozen over. Ran diagnostics 5 times to make sure I get the same error code and then called Appliance Parts Pros to order the washer pump. They informed me they had the pump assembly that has multiple parts on the unit and it was cost effective to order the assembly. I ordered the assembly and after a long back order time received the part. I had a slow leak at the water inlet valve where the water line from the filter assembly connected to the water inlet valve. I determine that the water line had scratches in it which caused it to not seal. Had to buy the entire reservoir and filter assembly to get that water line. The replacement was smooth. It took about 30 minutes to swap out and it fixed the leak. Read more
