Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The timer switch came detached from the bracket and the dial slot slipped out of the shaft until i saw the repair video i did not know about the clip that locks the dial to the shaft   Jeffery B. • Donalsonville , GA • September 04, 2015

I removed the dial knob and plate as instructed by the video, removed the front panel of the washer to access the switch. I found the plastic molded bracket that the timer rests on to be broken and the tab on the timer where it is attached by a screw to be broken. I ordered a replacement switch, dial and knob. When it arrived I replaced the parts as instructed, but I had to use super glue to hold the new switch in place due to the support tab on the washer panel being broken off. After letting... Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You E43 error code washer was shutting off before spin cycle   Christopher H. • Richmoind , ME • April 22, 2017

About a year ago, the washer was doing a similar thing, where it would shut off before the spin cycle started. The coin trap was completely clogged then, so I checked it first this time. It was clear, so I took the drain pump out and checked that as well. Nothing seemed to be physically wrong with the machine, so I put it in diagnostic mode, which gave me error code 43 when I tried the spin cycle. This one of the codes for a bad control board. Replacing the board only took about 15 minutes.... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You No power of functionality   Steven H. • Orlando , FL • June 03, 2017

I researched the problem online and tried to troubleshoot it by unplugging the machine and holding the start button for five seconds. I plugged it back in and still no response, which indicated it was most likely a bad Main PCB. I order the part and with Appliance Parts Pros' superb standard shipping service I received it a day and a half later. I removed the cover on the bad Main PCB, snapped a quick photo of the wiring and then installed the new Main PCB. I plugged in the washer and it... Read more
