Motor Stator (Washer)
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WPW10419333

This motor stator is the stationary windings for a direct-drive washer motor. Working with the rotor, it creates the magnetic field that turns the basket. Replacing a failed stator restores consistent wash and spin performance. What it does

  • Provides the fixed windings for the direct-drive motor
  • Works with the rotor to spin and tumble the basket
  • Failure can cause no spin/tumble, intermittent movement, or loud humming
  • May lead to motor/speed-related error codes and cycle shutdowns
What's included
  • 1 motor stator assembly
Install notes
  • Disconnect power before servicing; allow moving parts to stop
  • Access is typically from the rear; remove the rotor to expose the stator
  • Handle the rotor's strong magnets carefully and keep metal objects clear
  • Route and seat the wiring exactly as original; tighten mounting bolts evenly

Once you tilt the washer and prop it against something it's a pretty straight forward and easy fix. Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Machine stops between cycles & lid unlocks requires manual cycle movement to finish wash   James K. • Plano , TX • November 29, 2015

This was a tricky one to figure out. The Maytag Centennial MVWC400XW4 would fill and wash, then stop before spin cycle or would not complete the spin cycle. We had to manually move the dial to rinse & spin, etc. to get it to finish a load. This technique worked but it definitely became a pain to do and at the time we didn't notice how much longer the machine took calibrating a wash load. I called Sears initially thinking I really didn't want to mess with this and they came out. They... Read more

Carbon Brush, Drum Motor
Genuine Bosch part
By: Bosch
Part Number: 00154740

The Carbon brush, drum motor is an OEM part for Bosch washing machines. These carbon brushes are responsible for transferring electrical current from the commutator on the motor to power the rotary movement inside the washing machine drum.  Two come per package.

Symptoms of a bad carbon brush, or drum motor can include:

  • noisy or squealing sounds coming from the motor during the operation
  • the drum fails to spin or spin inconsistently
  • the washer is unable to enter spin cycles
  • slow or reduced agitation

Causes of a bad part include normal wear and tear over extended use. As the brushes continuously contact the commutator, friction can cause them to wear down over time.

This OEM Bosch part is also compatible with Thermador, Gaggenau, and some Kenmore models.

Started out as a replacement of the coupling between the motor and the basket transmission ( 2 of the 3 legs on the transmission side broken.. )... Bought a new pump, since I would have it off... or so I thought.. Metal output shaft into pump + years of moisture = pump rusted on. Put it all back together - runs fine... for a while..
