I chatted with a rep on Appliance Parts Pros and found out which parts I needed for my model of dryer. Ordered the 2 clips that held the door closed. They arrived the next day!! My dryer was very different than the video but we were able to figure out which screws to remove. The old clips popped out and the new ones popped in. Took about 30 minutes because of there being a top and bottom clip to remove and replace and line up the door parts to screw the screws back in. It works great!! I... Read more

Ordered the springs and shocks. Noticed that the washer had placement for 4 springs, but the factory only installs 2 (or they forgot to install the other two on my machine). If you replace the springs, be sure to check for the spring bracket mount. You will also need those. The washer is running fine. Next I'll work on the dryer. Read more

The machine stopped working with a bang. There were chunks of large metal at the bottom. The drive plate had rusted through. My first step was to put a rag in the tub drain hole and save the pump. Except for grinding/chiseling off a frozen-corroded-rusty solid mass. The repair was rather easy. A couple of channel lock wrenches and a hammer didn't budge it. My wife and I along with Mat on the video replaced the upper and lower friction pads, along with the balance springs. The machine runs smooth as it did new. Replaced pump. All components are accessible from the front of the machine. You have to remove two screws in the back that hold on the top cover, then slide the cover back. This will allow access to the screws that hold on the control panel. Remove the control panel (unplug cable), then remove the spring/wire that holds on the door bellows to the front panel (removing and installing that is the most difficult part of the job) and carefully remove the bellows from the front panel. After I checked the hose connections and determined that they were not the problem, I removed the top of the washer and saw water dripping from the cold-water intake valve. Before I called a service repairman, I checked You Tube for instructions on how to replace it. The instructions were precise and easy to follow. I easily remove the wires and hoses, then removed the part by removing 2 screws. I attached the replacement part, reattached the wires and hoses and was done, Leak fixed! Read more

I looked up the error code on the internet and determined that the drain pump had failed. I watched the Appliance Parts Pros repair video on how to replace this part, ordered a new pump and installed it myself in less than 30 minutes. This was an easy job that saved me the price of a service call, at least one hour of labor, and perhaps a markup on the part--probably around $200.00 total. I reseached these error codes and compared them to others problems. After deciding that I was gonna order the part and fix it myself I was at ease to find out it took 10min to fix! And it actually worked! The washer was pausing during cycles, cloths were soaking wet, spin cycle only worked on drain and spin at the end of the Ioad (it would spin slowly otherwise), soap dispenser still had the soap in it or it would be filled with water after the cycle was over.
