I noticed when we would run washer water would stay in tub. Pump would hum but not pump water out. Layed washer on its belly . Pump was at bottom of washer. Easy access . Removed 3 screws,2 wires , & 2 hose clamps. Didn't have to call Maytag Repair man. Easy Read more

I replaced the water level switch and hose. After removing the hose, I found that it was clogged, and did not allow the water level to be sensed by the switch. A test after the replacement of the parts was successful. While filling the tub, the water shut off at the small, medium, and large levels as indicated by the switch. Read more

Replaced the water valve. Easy repair. The repair video was spot-on. Tools needed: Slip joint pliers for removing and attaching the hoses and moving the hose clip. 5/16 nut driver. Phone to take a picture so I could get the wires put back right. Shut off the water and unplug from power. Remove the hoses. Luckily happen to be walking by when machine started to make "grinding" noise as washer tub started to hit plastic tub. Assuming by shutting down machine, prevented any more damage. Aside from noise, when we opened door, tub appeared "crooked" tilted back a lot further then normal. When we removed the rubber door seal, could spin drum and hear and see the wobble and grinding. Removed washer lid, then upper front panel with controls. Popped off the front retaining ring, then pushed the boot into the washer area after detaching the detergent hose and LED light from the boot. Detached the door lock mechanism. Removed the front panel with the door. Then removed main retaining ring after loosening with Phillips head screwdriver. Removed the old boot. Viewed YouTube video of AppliancePartsPros.com replacing the agitator to see if I could do it myself. I ordered part from Sears but they never delivered. Cancelled order with Sears, ordered from APP and was sent part within 24hrs by fedex for less than Sears charged. Will only go APP and would recommend APP to everyone. The instructions that came with the parts did not match the project I was doing, so those were not helpful. I looked up videos on YouTube and those all made it look way easier than it actually was. From what I could tell at that point, I wouldn't need to dismantle anything. I would simply be able to remove the gasket and put the new one in its place. I ordered the part (drain pump assy) from AppliancePartsPros.com and it was delivered to my house in 2 days. I called a friend to install it for me but....he never showed up. So I decided to do it myself. I watch the video that another Appliance Part customer suggested and it was extremely easy even for a seasoned woman as myself. It only took me about 20 minutes.
