• Door won't close

I chatted with a rep on Appliance Parts Pros and found out which parts I needed for my model of dryer. Ordered the 2 clips that held the door closed. They arrived the next day!! My dryer was very different than the video but we were able to figure out which screws to remove. The old clips popped out and the new ones popped in. Took about 30 minutes because of there being a top and bottom clip to remove and replace and line up the door parts to screw the screws back in. It works great!! I... Read more

I just wanted to put my experience here for all to see. I have a Maytag Neptune, MAH5500BWW, one of the original ones. I bought it back in 2002 and it has done many many loads of wash faithfully. So when the bearings started to get loud I thought it best to replace them, the seal kit and the belt. I did my research as best I could and decided to order the OEM parts from an appliance supplier. • Door latch failure

I removed the wire and rubber seal in order to get to the door lacth then I unscrewed the three screws popped out the latch put the screws and the rubber and wire back and tested the washer. The door now locks and I can wash again...YEPPPPY Read more

Viewed YouTube video of AppliancePartsPros.com replacing the agitator to see if I could do it myself. I ordered part from Sears but they never delivered. Cancelled order with Sears, ordered from APP and was sent part within 24hrs by fedex for less than Sears charged. Will only go APP and would recommend APP to everyone. The instructions that came with the parts did not match the project I was doing, so those were not helpful. I looked up videos on YouTube and those all made it look way easier than it actually was. From what I could tell at that point, I wouldn't need to dismantle anything. I would simply be able to remove the gasket and put the new one in its place. • Will not fill with water
• Will not stop filling with water

Replaced the water valve. Easy repair. The repair video was spot-on. Tools needed: Slip joint pliers for removing and attaching the hoses and moving the hose clip. 5/16 nut driver. Phone to take a picture so I could get the wires put back right. Shut off the water and unplug from power. Remove the hoses. Using a 5/16 nut driver remove the single screw that holds the bracket, lift bracket slightly and pull from the washer. There is a little slack in wires and fill hose to work with. Take a... Removed washer lid, then upper front panel with controls. Popped off the front retaining ring, then pushed the boot into the washer area after detaching the detergent hose and LED light from the boot. Detached the door lock mechanism. Removed the front panel with the door. Then removed main retaining ring after loosening with Phillips head screwdriver. Removed the old boot. I noticed when we would run washer water would stay in tub. Pump would hum but not pump water out. Layed washer on its belly . Pump was at bottom of washer. Easy access . Removed 3 screws,2 wires , & 2 hose clamps. Didn't have to call Maytag Repair man. Easy Read more
