Dishwasher won't drain or leaves standing water? This drain pump kit removes water at cycle end. Common DIY repair taking 15-30 minutes with basic tools.
I viewed youtube videos and followed the instructions on how to determine the cause of the problem. I cleared the lines and poked my fingers in to check for obstructions. But in the end, the drain pump was the problem. The pump came in the mail the next day. The job required the pump and only one of the hose clamps as the original setup has one single ear clamp which can be removed with wire cutters and a standard one which I re-used. There is a wire adapter in the kit that is necessary to... Read more
Replacement spray arm for dishwashers. Snaps into the rack to distribute water through multiple jets. Replace if broken, cracked, or missing clips.
Replaced both the Spray Arm and the Spray Arm Water Supply Tube. Highly recommend replacing base plate whenever the Spray Arm Water Supply Tube is replaced. Plastic tabs on the base plate hold those parts together and are likely to break (as seen on Appliance Parts Pros installation video!!!). I sensed tab weakness so just transferred parts needed from the new tube to the old tube and reinstalled the original tube / base plate assembly rather than risk breaking those plastic tabs. I should... Read more
Prevents water from leaking at door corners in your dishwasher. Replace if you notice pooling water on the floor during cycles. Easy DIY install.
The dishwasher is 4 years old, so I figured since it was leaking from the bottom, replacing the Tub Gasket PN: AP5690109, Splash Shield Kit PN: AP4338941 , and the bottom Door Seal/Gasket PN: AP5809675 was a good idea; the machine probably has around 1200 cycles in 4 years. There's no telling how much the door had opened and closed!? The bottom Door Seal/Gasket was badly worn, and the entire job took me around 30 minutes which included the detailed cleaning of the mating flanges. Take your... Read more
Dishwasher won't dry, overheats, or runs continuously? The high limit thermostat prevents overheating. DIY repair in 30 minutes with video guide.
My Whirlpool dishwasher (wdf520padm3) started leaving food on dishes and not drying dishes as well as it used to, even when I ran the 'high temp' and 'heavy' cleaning options. This started happening after about 3 years of operation. To try to diagnose the issue, I started the diagnostics cycle (see below for instructions on how to do this). However, the 'Clean' LED is also not working on my dishwasher, so I was unable to read the error code after the service cycle finished. I decided to... Read more

Obtained part online from Appliance Parts Pros. com... within one or two days received the part... Replacing the defective part is straight forward... The valve is located on the left underside of the unit. Make sure the electrical power is off and the water supply to the unit is closed off. Disconnect the water inlet piping from the valve... in my case separating a 1/2 inch copper union. Remove the electrical quick connector from the solenoid prongs. Clips onto the upper dishrack to hold the height adjuster assembly in place for balanced operation. Replace if cracked, broken, or missing.
I bumped into my KitchenAid dishwasher and the upper rack adjuster cracked. There was already a crack on the notch of the housing where the handle (lever) sits. In addition, the positioner popped out and I couldn't find it. So, I bought the three parts from AppliancePartsPros online. It arrived in about a week. The repair was fairly simple, but it still took about 45 minutes because I didn't want to crack the assemblies. For the housing, use a small slotted screwdriver to carefully... Read more
Upper dishrack assembly for dishwashers. Holds dishes during wash cycles. Replace when rack shows rust, peeling coating, broken tines, or structural damage.
To say using Appliance Parts Pros made things as simple as it gets, is an understatement. I was able to order the parts simply by using their website and having my dishwasher make and model number. Images of the parts make confirming the order even better. They have an on line question/answer cue if needed and even offer a call in for advice number. Once the order arrived, I verified the parts and began installation. Take a few pictures of the appliance from different angles before you start.... Read more
Right-hand track assembly that guides the upper dishwasher rack as it slides in and out. Replace if cracked, broken, or ball bearings fall out.
Ordered numerous replacement parts. Started with the tracks which required pulling the washer out of the cabinet to reach the screws. Pushed it back in and re-secured. Then stared on the rack and replaced the rack adjusters and various clips. Everything is straight forward and easy to replace. I originally called a local repair place to have them repair it. They came out and said they needed to order parts and they would call back. A week went by and I followed up with them. Had to leave... Read more
Left-hand track assembly guides and supports your dishwasher's upper rack as it slides. Replace if cracked, broken, or ball bearings have fallen out.
Seals the dishwasher tub opening to prevent water leaks during wash cycles. Replace if worn, flattened, or causing leaks. Verify fit with your model.
Upon taking the door apart it looked like the leak was coming from the vent so I replaced the vent cap, vent seal and the transition piece. I did not have to change the seals. It took me a while to figure out how to get the door apart, but once I did, it was fairly straightforward. Read more
Replacement dishwasher rack assembly that holds dishes during wash cycles. Needed when original rack is rusted, cracked, or wire coating is worn.
Dishwasher won't start or has no power? The thermal fuse cuts power when overheating occurs. Test for continuity with a multimeter. Easy 10-minute fix.
Ordered a new thermal fuse from your website last week and installed it three days ago. This is the second fuse in one year that needed to be replaced. The dishwasher was purchased new in 2012. Relatively easy to replace. Your website had a you tube video that showed how to replace it. Power came back on the control panel, but the start button (not a button, but a touch screen) would not work. This is the second time in two years that the control panel had to be replaced because the start... Read more
