I discovered a major leak at the bottom of the dishwasher near the diverter motor. The leak was so significant that water dripped onto my basement floor. The dishwasher is 7 years old. I read a number of articles suggesting that the problem would be the gasket on the diverter motor. I ordered one and that wasn’t the problem. Replaced sump and related pieces. Also replaced door baffles that were getting bad. The hardest part of job was removing the dishwasher from the its spot in cabinets. The info on site made replacing parts easy. Read more

I noticed the floor around the dishwasher was starting to get wet and warp the wooden floor. The chopper had gotten out of line and had cut a pinhole into the sump housing and the dishwasher was leaking badly. It was quite easy to repair. Just unhook the drain hose and the wire connectors, twist off the turbidity sensor and waste motor, pull out the shims and the whole assemple comes up and out. 1st we took the inside washer arms out and made sure they were clean and not blocked by something . When That failed, I called a local appliance repairman . After 2 messsges and absolutely no return call, I went on line and googled what could cause the problem. It recommended replacing the pump motor assembly . So we decided to try it. Ordered part. I drained the dishwasher by hand, disconnected power, water, and drain under the sink. I removed the screws holding the dishwasher in place. I located the pump with the online owners manual and removed it leaving the power connected. I put the machine on the rinse cycle and then hit cancel, the pump is supposed to come on, it didn't, I tried it twice, each time it would start if I manually started it spinning. I suspected the 'circulation pump' to be the culprit. I could not find a 'circulation pump' so I deduced via the picture schematics it must be the 'casing assembly, pump' I found on the website. I have heard there have been issues with the 'drain pump' so I also ordered the 'case assembly' on this site which is an odd name for the drain pump.
