This heater assembly is an integral part of many dryers. It is typically located within a housing and heats up air as it moves through the blower. It may sit behind the dryer drum and heat the air in that manner. If the air in the dryer never gets hot or it takes extra time to dry a load of laundry, this could be an indication that the heater assembly is damaged or malfunctioning. The heater assembly can be tested, but if damaged, it should be replaced with an OEM part.Make sure the dryer is unplugged from the outlet before starting. Loosen the vent clamp screw to release the vent behind the appliance. Pull out the dryer for easier access to the back. Access the heater assembly in the dryer by disassembling the appliance. Remove the wires from the high-limit thermostat and heater assembly terminals. Remove the heater assembly and replace it with the new component. Make sure to reassemble all other parts before returning power to the appliance to test it.Compatible with GE dryers, the heater assembly is directly sourced from the manufacturer. This part is sold as an individual item. It is a genuine OEM replacement part.
