This is an electric broil element that mounts at the top of the oven cavity in a range. It provides high, direct heat from above for broiling foods. Replace this element if the broiler does not heat, heats unevenly, has visible damage such as blistering or burn-through spots, or if it sparks during operation.
This kit includes a replacement heating element and a high limit thermostat for an electric dryer. The heating element generates the hot air that dries your clothes, while the high limit thermostat acts as a safety device to prevent overheating. Replace this kit if your dryer is not producing heat, takes too long to dry clothes, or shuts off prematurely due to overheating.
PLEASE UNPLUG DRYER FIRST. This was my first attempt at trying to fix my dryer (Maytag SDE515DAYW). Order the element kit Part Number AP4046564. The installation was easier than I thought. Just removed the two front panels and I was able to reach the back of the dryer, under the drum (this is where the heat element was located), disconnected the wires (took pictures first) and removed the two screws that held the heat element. I took some part numbers from the underneath side of the burner along with the stove model number and entered them on the internet and luckily found the part that I was looking for - I purchased it and it was delivered very quickly (faster than I expected). I took pictures of the burner before taking it apart and then removed the broken burner and replaced it with the new burner, put all the other parts back together and it worked perfectly the first time I turned it on. This is a 2500-watt circular heating element located at the rear wall of the oven cavity, surrounding the convection fan. The surface element heats up rapidly upon activation in order to boil, simmer or saute foods efficiently. Its precise heating capabilities assist home cooks in meal preparation.
Causes can be mineral deposits caked onto the element surface over time reducing its ability to transfer heat properly. Excess moisture exposure can also damage internal wiring.

I replaced the burner. The cook top had an exhaust fan attached which made the repair much harder. I know now you can remove the exhaust fan and duct from the bottom which would have saved me a lot of time. Read more
