This burner switch controls the power and heat settings for a surface cooking element, restoring reliable on/off operation, accurate temperature selection, and consistent element cycling on compatible electric ranges. What it does
I replaced the burner switches, since we had been having trouble with specific burners igniting unless another burner was tuned on. Then I replaced the spark module since the flame and the burner being turned off were not being detected and burners would not re-light if the flame went out. Read more
For switch mounting nut, order part# WP422617.
This replacement part looks nothing like the original because the original is two parts, the replacement is one part. The original has a switch with 3 wires coming out of it that go into a "block" screwed to the bottom tray. And this "block" has 2 wires that come out of it going to the fan. With the replacement, the block is eliminated and the 2 wires go directly to the switch. Easy install. Read more
This wire harness connects the control/switch assembly to the appliance's thermal cutoff and control circuits, restoring reliable electrical connections for proper operation. It's a direct-fit replacement when the original wiring is damaged or corroded. What it does:
I researched similar problems online, especially youtube. The ignition harness seemed to be the problem. I ordered it here, and received it within 2 days. Maybe I was lucky, but It took only about 15 minutes to replace on my unit. Stove is back to working as expected. Read more
Fix a gas burner that won't light with this cooktop igniter switch. Common solution for spark ignition failure. Moderate DIY difficulty level.
Actually we called Sears repair and they did a good job diagnosing and fixing the problem (Jacob). But they never supplied the part after more than a month, so we got the number from them and ordered it ourselves from you. We had already paid for it, so had them do the work. We would have fixed it ourself but could not figure out how to lift up the entire range top and videos we found were for a totally different stove top and we had no information how to get to the part to replace it. This rotary switch replaces a worn or failed control selector to restore reliable function selection. It provides a direct, mechanical interface for choosing settings so controls respond properly when the knob is turned. What it does:
I changed wiring harness due to frayed insulation, replaced igniter (just because it wasn't very expensive) and replaced the faulty rotary switch. Put the stove back together and it works fine. I will be returning the spark module because it wasn't needed. Read more
This wiring harness routes power and signals between a refrigerator's control components and electrical devices, restoring reliable electrical connections for operation and controls. It replaces a damaged or broken harness to help regain normal appliance function. What it does:
Fix cooktop electrical failures or unresponsive controls with this wire harness. Restores power and signal connections between components.
Burner won't adjust heat or jumps to full power? This infinite switch restores variable temperature control to surface burners. DIY install in 30 minutes.
Being cautious, I ordered new burner controls (infinity switches) for the front two burners. I installed them and was very happy with the results. The new controls allowed me to increase or decrease the amount of heat without what you might call thermal runaway (A sudden switch to full-on). Encouraged, I ordered two more burner controls and installed them for the back two burners. I have not yet tested them extensively, but I am confident that I now have four functioning burners.
