I have an LG dryer purchased in 2007. Model: DLE9577SM. It was squeaking at start-up and rumbling a little. Not knowing what parts I would actually need, I ordered rollers with/without assemblies, tensioner pulley-only, new belt. After viewing this video a couple of times, I attacked my machine which is located in the comfort of my garage. Lots of room to spread out. Nice. This disassembly went OK however because, I suspect, my machine is 13 years old, the removal of the control panel was... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You LG dishwasher door crashing open (very heavy)   Kristi B. • Oregon City , OR • December 05, 2020

We knew at least one door hinge cable assembly or hinge spring was broken (the door started falling down rapidly and became heavy to close) so we ordered two of each since we had read to go ahead and replace the damaged items on both sides. While we were waiting on the order, the other side must have broken-the door became incredibly heavy and instead of falling open, started crashing down unless it was carefully lowered. We feared it would fall on one of our animals and kill them. We did not... Read more

Appliance Parts Pros had parts diagrams that allowed me to see that the model of my LG refrigerator had an insert cartridge that slid up into the door that was referred to as a door closer. Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Water spraying from filter supply line in back of refrigerator   Marcus E. • Spanaway , WA • February 03, 2015

First, water and electricity don't mix, so make sure to unplug your refrigerator before beginning this repair - it shouldn't take more than an hour, so you shouldn't have to worry about spoilage. My water dispenser began making a hissing sound from the back of the fridge when you pressed the dispenser. Upon inspection, I discovered the 1/4" feed line into the filter housing assembly had cracked. I ordered the 1/4" feed and 5/16" return lines, figuring to replace the return line while I was back...
