Old, unused stack set. Washer was great, dryer was grinding. Started with the mounting bracket/bearing and the belt. The old ones were slightly beatup. Put it back together and the problem persisted. This is a small plastic cup that sits inside the washer's agitator or dispenser housing and holds liquid fabric softener, releasing it at the appropriate time during the rinse cycle. It is commonly found on laundry center combo units. Replace this part if fabric softener is not dispensing properly, the cup is cracked or missing, or you notice softener residue building up on clothes.
