This should be plastered all over the place and every owner of a front end washer should be advised or a recall should be issued about this. As I opened the top of my washer to fix a F35 error by replacing the water level switch, which worked out great and it fixed the issue, I noticed a rusting spot at the bottom of the washer just under where the motor is placed. Ordered and replaced bellow. It is important to supply the correct model number as my machine is a later model than the one used in the training video. The front panel is one piece, rather than two. Additionally, several of the fasteners were hex head screws, rather than torks. The Bellow is somewhat different having an opening for the light fixture. Ordered the springs and shocks. Noticed that the washer had placement for 4 springs, but the factory only installs 2 (or they forgot to install the other two on my machine). If you replace the springs, be sure to check for the spring bracket mount. You will also need those. The washer is running fine. Next I'll work on the dryer. Read more

After tracing the water dripping back up through the inside of the washer I found the water dispenser inlet valve was leaking. I watched several videos to make sure I understood what was involved. I contacted a local parts company to get the part. I also searched online for the part. I found that AppliancePartsPros.com had it cheaper. Bought new Transmission/gear box. Putting in the new one was easy. Taking the old one out was a nightmare. The corrosion on the spanner nut and drive block was awful. Ten years of VERY hard water and six kids made for a lot of corrosion and hard water crystallization. I do not own a spanner wrench. I am not sure having one would've helped. Before buying a new ($1200) washer, I found the trouble shooting guide and decided to check if my problem was a simple fix or a complicated procedure... turns out it was the simple fix. Removing the agitator was the hardest part, it lifted straight up, but took some muscle and a belt for leverage. Then I had to remove one bolt, lift off the damaged part, and put the new part on with the one bolt. Done. Works perfectly. Read more
