Replaced plastic housing for $100. Recommend buying the whole assembly though. Cost a bit more but you would be done in 15min. When you just replace the housing, you have to disassemble the old one very carefully to reuse several parts that do not come with the housing. A lot of fragile plastics. I ordered a new vario motor and a soap dispenser. I turned off the water and the breaker, disconnected the water line and the power at the front base of the unit, disconnected the drain hose from the garbage dispenser, and pulled out the dishwasher and laid it on a blanket on its face. I unscrewed and removed the plainly visible vario motor on the bottom of the machine and removed the cam from the shaft. First determined drain discharge hose was clear. Turned of power to dishwasher. I did not find it necessary to remove the dishwasher. I simply removed the lower service panel at the floor and was able to easily remove the defective pump, unplug it, replace the small rubber check valve flapper before the pump inlet and reinstall the new pump assembly. Replaced the Thermistor Assembly and also picked up Overload Protection circuit per the comments posted by the "experts" on the web site. Both parts cheap enough. I ordered parts at 3:30 in the afternoon and they showed up the next morning from half way across the country. Outstanding service. It also fixed the 9 year old refrigerator. When Microwaving food, the display panel would seem to act normal, but the typical microwave sound would be absent. No microwave action would occur. Eventually an F5 code would display. Problem was the upper door switch. Found it by opening up the cabinet, removing the display panel (1 screw and a couple of plugs) and testing all three micro switched with a meter. Replaced the inlet valve with some difficulty. First problem was getting off the back cover off to access it, no rhyme or reason to why they made that so difficult. Second problem was getting the inlet valve off. It was a bit tricky to maneuver. Eventually the new part went on with some tricky maneuvering again. Elderly neighbor charged $100 for factory tech to inform her that the part wasn't available anymore, so I ordered 2 from Appliance Parts Pros.com (one for a spare) and when they arrived a few days later, I installed then in about 20-25 minutes. I had to remove all the food off the door shelf so I could lift the door off the hinge to replace the bushing. That took 5 minutes. 1. Googled "appliance replacement parts" - found two sites to consider 2. Researched parts needed via a exploded diagram - can't fix it if you can't name it. 3. AppliancePartsPros.com had the easiest diagram and after checking, the lowest price. 4. Parts showed up within a couple of days - an in-transit note was helpful. 5. The part screws in but watch out you don't break the tiny black pin holding the part on in addition to the screw. Needed JB Weld to fix that. Read more

Ordered new tube part AJR56656503 for Lg LFX25978ST/01 watched a lot of videos but none showed how to remove the door tube end from its connection so I just cut and spliced the new tube to the old under the cover for the door hinge area after feeding it from the back of frig to that area. I replaced the filter cartridge that is located underneath the lower spray arm. The original filter cartridge had become completely blinded off, the filter media is a very fine mesh nylon fabric and it gets clogged up eventually with hard water scale and other non-soluble materials (including dishwasher detergent).
