We started getting the F06 code when on the normal cycle it was time to Rinse/Spin, pointing to a speed/tachometer issue on the motor. After several attempts of unplugging from power and restarting the cycle it would eventually start working for the rest of the laundry session. The Whirlpool technician after a brief look on the underside determined it was the motor and had to be replaced, even tough all troubleshooting tests on the motor were ok. I insisted that the probability was much higher... Read more

I started by replacing the lid switch without the desired result. So I decided to replace the timer unit. It works like a new machine at the moment. At least on the first trial load. More loads will convince me that it is fixed for sure. I cannot be more complimentary about Appliance Parts Pros as I live very remotely in West Texas. The part arrived quickly and it was the exact right part required as ordered. This is my second order and I will return for more parts if I need them. Read more
Washer won't advance through cycles or skips steps? This timer controls wash, rinse, and spin sequences. Moderate DIY repair restores cycle operation.
The washing machine intermittently would not agitate or spin. A reset of the timer dial fixed it. Then nothing fixed it. Originally thought it was the timer but father wanted to check out other possibilities. So he brought his meter over and went through all that he could, including checking power to the motor below. All was good electrical-wise. On the holiday, January 1, a rep. at AppliancePartsPros assured me that if a new timer did not fix the problem, I could return the item, even... Read more

The basin would fill but would not agitate, there was no sound, no grinding noises, no sound of a motor running without agitation due to a broken belt. The basin full of water was able to drain if I advanced the timer to Spin. By playing around with the timer dial further, I could get every function of the washer to operate, at least partially. So, that said electrical problem to me. I assumed the trouble was either the safety switch at the back of the lid or the timer mechanism. Tested... Read more
