Timer won't advance or dryer runs continuously? This timer control restores proper cycle progression in auto and timed modes. DIY-friendly repair.
I ordered the timer and knob on Monday, they arrived around noon on Tuesday, and within an hour I had them installed and back in business. I was amazed how quickly the parts got here. The online video showing the procedure step by step was very helpful. Instead of disconnecting all the wires and having to keep up with which one went where, I moved each wire one by one and made sure I didn't get any of them in the wrong place. The only thing that slowed me down a bit was seeing which side of the... Read more

I ordered the motor from AppliancePartsPros.com after a google search for "best price model # 134159500 Drive motor " The part arrived in 5 days, and it took about 15 minutes to remove the old motor and replace it with the new one. Our 19 year old Whirlpool dryer quit heating. After checking the thermal fuse, I found the ignitor electrically open. I bought an ignitor at a local store as there was a national holiday the next day and I did not want the dryer inoperative waiting several days for shipping. I can say AppliancePartsPros is MUCH cheaper for the identical Whirlpool genuine part. While changing the ignitor, I noticed there was an excessive amount of lint in the dryer, which was caused by worn drum seals. I ordered... Read more

Seals front and rear tub halves to prevent water leaks. Replace if you notice leaking during wash cycles or after bearing repair. Verify fit with your model.
I watched the video posted by Jerrod Sessler on yellow van handyman.com. Then I had to unstack the dryer from the washer, remove all covers, disconnect all hose connections, shock mounts and springs and remove the tub assembly. Then I disassembled the tub assembly and remove seal and both bearings from the rear half. At this point I cleaned everything. I installed new bearings and seal, installed the basket and assembled both tub halves using a new gasket and silicone, and reinstalled the... Read more

This retainer ring is a genuine OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer for use on front load washing machines to hold the boot seal in place. The boot seal is the gasket that seals the washing machine when the door is closed to prevent water from leaking. The retainer ring is located flush against the boot seal and has either a spring clamp or screw clamp that secures it. Over time, this ring may become damaged due to the washing machine's normal use and age. If the ring is not tight, the washing machine could leak when in use. If water is coming from the door, it is a good idea to inspect and replace the retainer ring and possibly the boot as well.Unplug the washing machine to prevent electrocution. Remove the front panel, the detergent dispenser, and the kickplate to access the retainer ring. Locate the clamp on the ring and loosen it. Remove the retainer ring and set it to the side. Inspect the boot and then install the new retainer ring. Tighten the clamp and reassemble the washing machine. This retainer ring is sold as an individual unit. It is designed specifically for washing machines manufactured by Whirlpool.

I originally thought the washer had a bad bearing, but once I got it disassembled it the spider arms were broken. This required the replacement of the tub assembly. While replacing the tub I replaced all of the water bellows. The parts came quickly, the live chat and videos were very helpful. Secures washer hoses to pumps, tubs, and drain fittings to prevent leaks. Replace when weakened, rusty, or damaged to maintain tight connections.
I started by watching the video and it was very helpful. I would make one suggestion. On our model the weights on the tub sit very close to the front gasket. It is much easier to put the gasket on the tub before you put the weights on. Also, since the washer was tore apart, I replaced the hoses and seals and shocks since the machine is about 8 years old. The shocks made a huge difference. It spins like it did when it was new. Thanks for the video, it was very helpful. Read more
