Samsung top load washer, about 3 years old started throwing a DC error code more and more often. Initially started with large loads. Wash would get to spin cycle, start wobbling all over the place, stop and refill then try again. Eventually it would stop and throw the DC code. As time went on, the size of the loads got smaller and smaller. Research here indicated that suspension rods probably need replacing. I bought 4 rods for replacement for about $90 in total inc. tax & shipping.... Read more

I replaced all 4 suspension rods and springs and now it spins very smooth. They weren't broken, just badly worn. It gave new life to my 15 year old GE Profile washer. They are basically springs, so they wear after a while. It was well worth the hour I spent fixing it. You need a good long reach to get to the back 2 and you have to take off the dampening straps and the control panel so you can gain access. All in all, I'm happy with the repair, although I though that these parts are bit... Read more

After watching the video carefully and taking notes for step-by-step dismantling of the LG washer, I took it apart methodically placing each item on a table in the order removed. I was able to remove and replace the bearings with no problems following the tips and tricks. The spider did not seem to be in bad shape but since I had a new one, it seemed reasonable to replace it as well, but it was difficult to extract the old one from the drum. The bolts are assembled with weld glue, so it is a... Read more

I noticed my 5-year-old Samsung, front-loading washing machine started to sound like my kids were using it as a drum kit. I immediately checked it out and the stainless drum was wobbling so badly that I just took it for an unbalanced load of clothes. My gut was telling me that something was wrong because I had not remembered the machine being so loud before. I removed the clothes from the washer and I ran it empty to confirm my suspicions: the wobble was still there. I would say it had a 2"-3"... Read more
