Heating Element

• Element will not heat

The burners and drip pans that I previously ordered fit this stove perfectly. It is so much better cooking on the cook stove with the burners laying properly. I'm very pleased. My only complaint is that I wish more parts were available for this old stove, I really love it! Read more

Easy fix, took out the screws and disconnected the element. Make sure you unplug the oven!! replaced it with the new elements. oven is working good. Read more

I ordered the both the Pcb assembly and a heater sheath. Upon accessing the Pcb, I immediately discovered it had failed miserably, (contacts burnt and melted, wiring and insulation on one wire suffered severe electrical damage. To put it bluntly a small electrical fire had occurred on the circuit board. There was enough slack in the damaged wire so I removed the affected area, replaced the terminal. First, I just unscrewed all nuts that are holding the frame and all surface elements. Once all parts, surface elements, control switches, are loose from the original glass, I just moved all parts to the new glass. Due to the weight of the glass, all actions have to be done carefully as I broken one corner of the glass couple of years ago when I replaced one of the control switch. Read more

Ordered the replacement part the recommended by your parts department. I then watched a video so I knew what was in Store. The part arrived in less than 2 days & 15 minutes later I was baking brownies!!!!! Voila!!! Done deal!!! Now I am going to order a second one to replace the lower oven's element since it's been 'off' for over a year. • Little to no heat when baking

Turned off 40 Amp breaker. Removed shelves from oven. Removed two screws in back panel holding element in place. Slowly pulled element free making sure wires stayed attached and not lost in oven insulation. Removed two wires from old element. Attached wires to new element. Pushed wires back into oven rear wall. Reinstalled the previously removed two screws. Turned on breaker. Total time less than 10 minutes. Read more

So I ordered the burner and Ithe switch because I wasn't sure what part was defective. I pulled the oven out and I removed the 6 1/4 inch screws on each side of the glass top as well as the 2 Phillips head screws on the back, removing the 2 1/4 screws on the shield on the back gIves you easier access to them, then lifted the glass top up on the front to access the switch and burners. I ordered new elements and connection blocks, ripped out the old ones and installed the new ones. The ordered parts came in quickly and were exactly what I ordered. The most difficult part of the repair was cutting through the little screws that had rusted and corroded over the decades. With old removed, the installation of the new blocks and elements went quickly. One modification was to the support fins on the new heating elements. Simple replacement of the heating element. Found multiple videos on youtube that show how to to do this repair. The cooktop is easily opened by removing 3 screws, but I recommend having a second set of hands when performing the repair because you will have to hold up the glass stove top and unscrew the components.
