Oven Bake Element
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WP77001094

The Oven Bake Element is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool ovens. Located at the bottom of the oven cavity, it is responsible for providing the consistent heat necessary for baking and roasting. This element ensures even cooking by heating up uniformly and maintaining the set temperature throughout the cooking process.

Over time, the bake element can wear out or become damaged due to repeated exposure to high temperatures, spills, or power surges. Normal wear and tear, as well as accidental impacts during oven cleaning or rack adjustments, can also lead to the element malfunctioning.

Symptoms of a bad oven bake element include:

  • The oven not heating up or reaching the set temperature
  • Uneven baking or longer cooking times
  • Visible signs of damage such as burns, blisters, or breaks in the element
  • Sparking or unusual noises when the oven is in use
  • The element not glowing red-hot during operation

This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Please Note. Due to a manufacturer change element may appear physically different from the original.

This part fixes the following symptoms
  • Oven not heating evenly
  • Little to no heat when baking

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Bake element stopped working   Tom B. • Vienna , VA • August 10, 2014

Our Amana electric oven stopped producing heat. The bake element would not get hot anymore. I pulled stove away from wall and unplugged it. Removed the oven racks for easier access and simply used a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws that hold the element to the back interior wall. I slide the element forward until the two ends of the element came out of the back wall, exposing the electrical connectors. Next I removed the wire connectors from the element using a pair of pliers for... Read more

Wall Oven Bake Element

Oven not reaching temperature or taking too long to preheat? A failed bake element is often the cause. Moderate DIY repair, 1-2 hours with rear access.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Oven would only heat up to 347° f in bake mode   Chris M. • Scottsdale , AZ • October 25, 2021

I determined the hidden bake element below the oven cavity was not working, because the bottom of the oven was cold during normal use. If you have a built-in microwave + oven combination (mine is KitchenAid Model No. KEMS308SSS05), this is a difficult repair. The engineer who designed this oven should be invited to succeed elsewhere. It is impossible to access the bake element from the inside of the oven, so the How To video associated with this part will not help you. I had to remove the... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Oven bake element stopped working   Belle K. • Anaconda , MT • August 29, 2014

I'm a 66 year old woman (on a fixed income) and I'd never before repaired an oven bake element . My stove is 20 years old but I still found it was much more affordable to change the bake element rather than buying a new stove. I called the number on the website and talked to a very informative woman. She answered all the questions I had about my stove. She told me about the repair video on the website which had step-by-step instructions. I ordered a new element - received it within 4 days.... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Broil Heating element shorted.   Noel D. • Palmdale , CA • March 28, 2014

Found a real cool Youtube video by AppliancePartsPro.com. I watched it and learned how easy it was to unhook and replace the part with proper care and precautions. It even included tips on critical steps so the wires won't slip back inside the hole and save you from hours of possible mistake. Then I ordered the part. It came the day after, then I replaced the part, meaning, I DID THE WORK! (My wife was so impressed- lol) Easy as pie... but we made and had a much nicer roast the day after.... Read more

The Radiant Element is an OEM part for GE ranges and cooktops. This part provides efficient and even heating for cooking. This part uses electricity to heat up and transfer warmth directly to the cookware. The radiant element is encased under the glass surface of the cooktop, offering a sleek and easy-to-clean cooking area while ensuring optimal heat distribution and cooking performance.

Stove is a GE Adora Model JBP63HH2bb. It took me forever to figure out how the burner was attached to the rails. Bake Element
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WB44X45494

The Bake Element is an OEM part for GE wall ovens and ranges. It generates the necessary heat through a series of exposed coils to bake and brown food consistently.

Symptoms of a failed bake element include:

  • Inability to reach or maintain proper baking temperatures
  • Burned-out coils causing uneven or sporadic heating
  • Error codes relating to sensor detection of element issues
  • Premature element failure can create a hazardous smell or smoke

Causes may be normal wear of the coil material over many use cycles in high heat. Without a functioning bake element, the oven cannot reliably or safely perform its baking function.

This OEM GE part can also be used on Hotpoint, RCA, and Kenmore/Sears appliances.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You GE range bake element exhibited hot spots   Gary P. • Milo , IA • November 26, 2019

Replaced element. The new element was perfect. The shipping was perfect. Installation would have taken less than 10 minutes if the two range wires attaching to element had been 1 inch longer. Attached thin nosed vice grips to wires at spade terminals to facilitate attachment to element. The repair was simple enough but it would have been perfect if GE engineers had made wires 1 inch longer. Read more
