Dishwasher Circulation Pump Motor Assembly
Genuine Lg part
By: Lg
Part Number: 4681ED1004B

The dishwasher circulation pump motor assembly powers the pump that pressurizes water and pushes it up through the spray arms to clean your dishes. Without it, water cannot circulate through the wash system. Replace this part if your dishwasher fills with water but the spray arms aren't spinning, dishes are coming out dirty, or you hear a humming noise but no water is spraying.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You 0e drainage error code   Christopher L. • Walnut Creek , CA • February 24, 2015

So all of a sudden the dishwasher stops working, "0E error"on the panel. Did some google searches and found that it might be the filter, which I did not know needed to be changed, or worse, the motor. Took the filter off per online tutorial (easy) and mopped up all the stagnant water. Poking around, I find the small rubber check valve that has broken. Had to fish it out with tweezers. Long story short, it was not the motor and I doubt it was the filter. It was this $1.87 rubber drainage... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Loud motor   Michael B. • Virginia Beach , VA • July 25, 2026

Ordered a new motor from ApplicancePartsPro. Initial shipment arrived damaged, but ApplicancePartsPros quickly sent me a replacement. It took me longer to uninstall the dishwasher (disconnecting water line and drain hose without creating a big mess) and pull it out than it did for the actual repair. Watched a few videos and found the repair itself was less than 30 mins. But with the uninstalling and reinstalling process taking well over an hour. This $100 part allowed me to save a dishwasher... Dishwasher won't drain or makes loud humming noise? This drain pump removes water from the wash cycle. Moderate DIY repair with unit removal required.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You My ge profile dishwasher was making a loud (very loud) humming noise during operation   Michael B. • Wesley Chapel , FL • May 12, 2014

I stood by the dishwasher as it went through the cycles and noted the noise only happened during the drain processes. To make this repair you have to take the dishwasher completely out from under the counter. (NOTE: print the schematic to help guide you to the location of the part and connections.) The pump is not accessible from underneath. I laid the dishwasher on its side. I recommend disconnecting the copper fill tubing before laying the machine over (I did not and crimped it). The... Dishwasher Inlet Sump
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WD18X213

Dishwasher leaking from the bottom? A cracked or worn inlet sump causes water leaks during wash cycles. Moderately difficult repair with video guidance.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Old and leaking inlet sump ?   Nicholson J. • Henderson , NC • December 06, 2014

Replaced with a new Inlet Sump [WD18X213]. It was a little tedious, attaching the Inlet Sump, back to the pump, because I did the job with the dishwasher in place (not pulled out). My dishwasher was plumbed with copper pipe, so I really didn't want to upset that. Also, I had previously replaced the motor and the pump in this dishwasher, so I was familiar with how the Inlet Sump attached to the pump. Again, it's very tight working under the unit while it is still in place, and I wouldn't... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You My ge (adore; no longer made by ge) dishwasher motor had a dead spot and would not engage unless the fan blades were manually turned   Edward J. • Hendersonville , TN • July 08, 2015

I ordered a new motor through ApplianceParts Pros.com and had the new part within 5 days. The entire replacement took approximately 1 1/2 - 2 hours. The repair was relatively simple and straight forward. By doing the work myself I saved over $250. Originally a GE technician quoted a price of $489 to replace the motor to repair the dishwasher. For that price I could have bought a new dishwasher (Electronix Express $491) but not with all the features of my current appliance. By doing the... Read more

Diverter Motor
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: W10155344

The Diverter Motor is an OEM part for Whirlpool dishwashers. It controls the movement of the diverter disc, which directs water flow to different spray arms during the wash cycle. This ensures that all areas of the dishwasher receive adequate water pressure for effective cleaning.

Causes of a bad diverter motor can include electrical malfunctions, wear and tear from frequent use, or damage from water exposure. A faulty diverter motor can prevent the proper distribution of water, leading to poor cleaning performance.

Symptoms of a bad diverter motor include:

  • Dishes not being cleaned properly
  • Unusual noises coming from the dishwasher during operation
  • The dishwasher not advancing through cycles correctly
  • Water not reaching all areas of the dishwasher

This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Note: Includes wire harness WPW10083167, Drain cap part number WPW10193605, and the shaft seal has been incorporated into sump housing, not available separately.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Leaking from the bottom of the dishwasher   Chuck H. • Rochester Hills , MI • October 17, 2015

Removed and replaced diverter motor. Ops check good, no more leaking. I'm guessing the seal was the problem but diverter ruined (water residue) from leaking over the last 5 years??? This seal is only available if you buy the tub so followed another review - removed diverter then gently pried out the seal, cleaned and then lubed with silicone grease. Also turned the seal 180 degrees or the opposite way before reinstalling the diverter and then wrapping it all back under the counter. Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Would not drain with flashing quick light   Kevin N. • Lake Worth , FL • June 21, 2018

Since my Samsung Dishwasher would not drain and had a flashing quick light, I removed the racks and both spray wands. Which allowed me to remove the lower screen assembly. This revealed a worn and broken check valve and broken grinder blade. I cleaned the inside of the dishwasher and removed the unit from under the counter. Fix loud grinding noise or poor water circulation in your dishwasher. This pump and motor assembly circulates and drains water. Moderate DIY repair.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Machine running loud grew worse until it was obvious the motor blew a bearing   Robert S. • Bettendorf , IA • February 21, 2015

We initially noticed the dishwasher running loud and failing to completely clean dishes. Research suggested issues like this were normally caused by either the main circulation motor or the drain motor. Over the next week the noise worsened, and it became obvious that the circulation motor had went (loud whirring noise whenever the spin cycle kicked in). I watched a couple youtube videos on the removal and dissassembly until I felt confident that my wife and I could handle the project. For the... Read more
