Installing the dispenser unit requires taking apart the door of the dishwasher. I cut power to the dishwasher, removed the outer door cover by removing 14 star screws, unplugged the power from the old dispenser and unscrewed 6 tiny socket screws that secure it to the inner door, and popped the unit loose from two plastic clips that hold it in.
