Replaced sump because the seal is not sold separately. You will need a skinny clamp after cutting the original swaged clamp off. Also Had to replace the cover as its seal is not sold separately either. Used dish soap on seals during assembly. Read more

The washer would work fine except it wouldn't spin unless you opened the lid and waited a split second for it to stop. You would hear a bang, then when you closed the lid, it would spin. Since it made that bang noise, I thought the transmission was going bad, so I replaced that. Nope, still the same. Although I ordered the latch, lever and a new cup and replace the original pieces the dispenser still did not close. On further inspection it turned out to be a small spring that had fallen out of place. Once the spring was reconnected the dispensing cover worked fine. I'm still happy that I replaced the entire assembly with new parts regardless. Discovering the loose spring took the most time. Read more

Planning to spend hundreds on a new washer and was pleased to discover the agitator coupling was the only thing wrong. Very easy repair. The only additional feature we would have liked was a softener dispenser. Located a GE model of the same genre that used the same coupler and took the leap to get the agitator and dispenser cup for this model (WJRR4170). Checked the circuit board to see if R11 was burnt and it was. They told me if the wax motor had a brown tip that I would have to replace the Machine control circuit board as well as the Wax motor. I ordered the new parts put them in and it worked. Read more
