Took cover completely off and tried putting back, could not match up left screw with available screw hole. Tried many different configurations and sequences to make this happen. watched a video on changing the front panel, the door in it had four screws, mine 2, no help there. Searched on the hyperextending issue, found an article about dogs and kids [had both here] climbing on the door and to check the springs and linkages. Appeared to be two problems: the latch was worn and one of the pins that slid in a guide on the actuator located in the inner panel had broke off. Detergent lid spring and pin appeared to be OK but decided to replace since I was aready working on it. I ordered all the inner panel mechanism from the control arm to the latch actuator on the inner panel. The repair was successful as the detergent dispenser now opens during its cycle. Read more

Replaced the actuator pad on the Whirlpool Gold Series, releasing the electronic menu pad to get to the water activator pad was the biggest hurdle. The release tabs are underneath the menu pad and you may feel as if you may break them when releasing them. They did not break but I did hold by breath. Read more

Once I found the hole for the spring arm to go in it took 1 min. Tip: make sure the spring is on the left side pin and, insert it First to insure the spring aligns then use a screw driver to pry out the Right side flange slightly to aide in inserting the right side pin into its hole Read more

I did not see the old ones fall out, so I was not sure the exact product placement within the rail, which was frustrating, to say the least. For the next person's benefit....these slide into the MIDDLE of the rail that is attached to both sides of the dishwasher. Not the front, not the back, but the middle! This was a pretty easy fix. Removed the screws around the perimeter of the inside cover of the door and pressed the outer door cover upward to release it from slots retaining it. There are four wires to remove (2 for the detergent door release and 2 for the rinse agent release). Removed the 6 screws retaining the dispenser assembly and inserted the new one. Reassembly is simply in reverse order. Problem solved for less than the cost of a service technician's call! Read more

My appliance is a Kenmore, and even though the video mentioned lots of other brands, it showed the exact same problem I was having. My dispenser motor just spun and spun, never stopping at the various positions it was apparently supposed to. Then it would trip the F30 code. The part description again mentioned these other brands but did say in fine print it fits some Kenmore products. • Ice maker won't dispense ice

I read an article concerning the same problem and ordered the interior lever, but the real issue was that the plastic piece that activated the water flow was broken off the interior of the water dispenser cover assembly. I popped out the dispenser cover (it is on very snugly) and replaced it with a new one (again, it went back on but with some force needed). Replaced the stripper and fill cup - turns out that the fill cup came with the locking tab broken off. The stripper had a missing paddle, and ice cubes would jam and shut down the ice maker periodically. Let the ice maker warm up after you remove it so the plastic is not so brittle. You have to pry the old stripper out. Make sure the new one locks all across the front. My refrigerator has the ice maker mount toe the side instead of from the hangers in back.
