Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You No power.   William R. • Jacksonville , FL • February 12, 2019

I checked for the reasons there was no power to the microwave. Then I talked with the technician at AppliancePartsPros who stated that it was most likely a blown or defective fuse. My LG microwave has two thermal fuses, a fuse assembly with two prongs and a short (1 inch) barrel type fuse. I replaced all of them after viewing YouTube videos and then reviewing the diagram for my microwave on the AppliancePartsPrps website. That was very helpful in locating where the fuses were installed. It... Read more

Our dryer seemed to be taking a long time to dry, often needing a couple cycles to complete the job. Then one day it stopped heating at all. Moisture Sensor (Dryer)
Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 134786110

This moisture sensor monitors dampness inside the dryer drum and signals the control when fabrics are dry, helping automatic cycles end on time and avoid overdrying. Replacing a failed sensor can restore consistent Auto Dry performance and cycle times. What it does:

  • Detects moisture level via conductivity across the sensor surfaces inside the drum
  • Sends feedback to the control so Auto Dry cycles advance and stop correctly
  • Helps prevent overdrying and underdrying in sensor-based cycles
  • Common symptoms of a faulty sensor may include: auto cycles ending too soon or running too long, clothes remaining damp, or the dryer staying on "Sensing" while timed cycles still work
What's included:
  • 1 moisture sensor
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and, if applicable, shut off gas before servicing
  • Access the sensor at the front bulkhead/lint housing area; remove front panel as needed per model
  • Transfer connectors and route wiring exactly as original; secure the sensor firmly
  • Clean the sensor contact surfaces with rubbing alcohol; residue from dryer sheets or fabric softeners can affect readings

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Clothes got stuck on moisture sensor bar and broke it off   Felix M. • Kyle , TX • April 17, 2015

Fixed it in 5minutes. One end has a Phillips head screw and the other has a tab with to metal leads for wires. The end with the tab broke. I attempted to diagnose the four thermostats/thermal switches in the microwave....two right behind the control panel, one on top of the cooking cabin, and one under a metal shroud above the magnetron.
