Ordered the new pump, then had to drain the tub by hand with a transfer pump. Put the washer on its back after unplugging it. Disconnected the wires, removed the 3 bolts and removed the clamp from the hose and reinstalled the new pump. Read more

I replaced the belt and the pump. It now works like it is new again! I am glad that I purchased the belt installation tool. It made replacing the belt very easy. I also purchased the Control Assembly which I did not install. It wasn't needed to repair the washer but I will keep it in case it is needed for future repairs. I noticed a lot of water on the floor one day. I had no idea where it came from (all pipes in the area near the stationary tub were dry, there was a small wet spot near the washer, but most of the water was more than 2ft from it). Started a small load and noticed water running down the outside of the unit. Immediately stopped the cycle and removed the front of the washer. The upper counter-balance weight mount design is a poor design to begin with. It started to rattle loose approximately 5yrs into the 8yrs that we've owned it. As it would start to loosen up (as evidenced by the loud banging noise exhibited during operation); I'd shut it down, pull the top off, remove the weight (it was almost always half rattled off at this point), wrap the mount lugs with friction tape (the plastic lugs were being worn down/chaffed by the balance weight), put the weight back... I removed the dial knob and plate as instructed by the video, removed the front panel of the washer to access the switch. I found the plastic molded bracket that the timer rests on to be broken and the tab on the timer where it is attached by a screw to be broken. I ordered a replacement switch, dial and knob. When it arrived I replaced the parts as instructed, but I had to use super glue to hold the new switch in place due to the support tab on the washer panel being broken off. After letting... • Shakes and moves

One of the suspension rods was not working so I replaced the bad one and the other three . Tub has now leveled out and is spinning properly without making the noise. Washer started every cycle just fine. With just 9 minutes left on the cycle, when it started the spinning cycle it would stop and on the display showed a DC error code and it would kick the cycle to the beginning of the wash. This was Kenmore front load washer made by LG. Model 796.41302610 First, AppliancePartsPros.com has been great. This is my fourth time using them. Staff, DIY comments, and videos are all very helpful. Always ended up with the right part and received next day. The machine made an odd noise on start-up. I ran diagnostics. Unplugged power cord, shut off hot and cold water valves, and disconnected hot and cold water lines. I taped the lid closed and laid washer down on its front panel to access motor parts underneath. Removed center screw (allen wrench) and then removed large, round, plastic rotor (had to use some force with fingers behind it to get it off). I could see that the gear teeth inside the rotor had been partially stripped off ruining the rotor (and causing the noise). I then removed the clutch... Read more

• Spins slowly

With more difficulty and frustration than expected but it works fine now. Things learned: 1. Order only 3 replacement pins. One comes with the shocks that you can't be sure you see in the picture. 2. A circuit board in a plastic box mounted to the floor, left rear, must be removed by two screws to be able to get pliers onto the head of the pin more easily. This helps installation too. 3.
