Removed the top cover while the machine was operating, located the source of the leak. The top filler tube had worn a hole in a flex point. Found the right part on this site, replaced it with little effort. While in there I saw a similar hose and decided to replace it as its time was probably up too. The hot inlet valve was dripping water, replaced it. Water and soap were coming out of the vent pipe. The new Float assembly had a shorter shaft than the old Float Assembly I was replacing. I did install the new Float Assembly and cleaned the vent hose where the float seats and I haven't seen any more water on the floor. Both repairs were made easy by watching your repair videos. Replaced the rear drum bearing assembly and the front top felt that the drum rides on and since I has it apart installed a new belt. Simple to do and takes very little time! Read more

I removed the barrel from the inside of the washer, and removed the tub after that I punched out the bearings and replaced them with the ones that were sent which by the way I received within a couple of days. I ordered the inner bearing outer bearing and the seal. Read more

My Mom's Kenmore had a burnt plastic smell after a thunderstorm. Found motor capacitor had melted through, dumping liquid platic "spaghetti" onto the insulation blanket under the washer. I replaced the Timer knob components. Removing the cover that contains the Timer was simpler than I anticipated. Just remove the screws on the top of the back of the machine. Hold the cover and lift up and push to the left (facing the front of the washer). Removed the Timer Knob Clip with small needle-nose pliers. Grasped the Timer and turned counterclockwise to remove and unplugged the wiring clip. The timer is seated to the cover and held securely in place with one screw. I seated the new... Read more

I just wanted to put my experience here for all to see. I have a Maytag Neptune, MAH5500BWW, one of the original ones. I bought it back in 2002 and it has done many many loads of wash faithfully. So when the bearings started to get loud I thought it best to replace them, the seal kit and the belt. I did my research as best I could and decided to order the OEM parts from an appliance supplier. Speed Queen is out of stock in the washer door for this model and the appliance repair company said it was on back order indefinitely. I had saved the broken door so I ordered the inner plastic liner and the glass separately and used the saved outer door part and the screws and bracket and the mechanism that inserts into the machine itself to lock the door in place and sandwiched everything together and after a few attempts at the correct order of putting it all together, managed to get it...
