Removed 2 screws from mullion strip heater and slid it up off the tabs at top and bottom. Unhooked the plug and removed it. Verified proper mullion heater and then plugged wiring connection back together, positioned slide clips back in line and slid mullion down onto the clips. Tucked the wiring back into opening positioned cover back in place and reiinstalled the 2 screws. It took about 10 minutes for the entire job. the 2nd problem was a noisy evaporator motor and is a more intense repair...

The oven was so loud, it was hard to talk to someone in the kitchen.
We replaced the motor and the fan blade.
1. Turn off power to the oven.
2. Remove the oven doors
3. Remove the cover for the fan.
4. Turn the fan blade nut clockwise to loosen( it's opposite of normal) - Save the nut and the small clip that is behind the fan as you'll need them again.
5. Remove the screws that hold oven to the kitchen cabinet frame.

I disassembled my dryer and found that the fan(blower wheel) was "free-spinning" on the motor shaft. A common problem with this model Maytag dryer. I removed oven panel and found the fan blades had warped and were hitting the base that fan was mounted to.I turned off the power via circuit breaker,removed fan mounting screws,removed two wires and installed new fan.Reset breaker,oven is nice and quiet now.
