Motor ran but drum would not turn dryer motor pulley on motor shaft was stripped i found metal shavings under pulley that is attached to motor shaft Ysidro M. • Mesa , AZ • January 25, 2015
Since finding out pulley on motor is factory installed, I had to order a new motor with new pulley on it. I could not remove old blower wheel from old motor, no matter how hard I tried so I had to purchase new blower wheel and new blower housing. I am super happy finding Appliancepartspros.com the prices, and my experience was great! I basically removed everything step by step, and then replaced with the new parts step by step. I had help by watching videos that were provided online before and...

Evaporative cooler fan needed replacement Pamela P. • Morongo Valley , CA • November 18, 2015
I read some diagnostic suggestions provided by Appliance Parts Pros and determined fan needed replacing. I got the fan in two days! I used regular shipping and APP delivered on time. My story is that I live in the country and no one returned my calls for repair - so I figured I could get this done. I watched the online video on APP website. Opened up back of freezer after removing ice making and cleaning up ice buildup, I installed the new fan motor. It was easy and my fridge is now cooling...

Emptied the contents of the freezer into coolers.
Removed the rack shelves.
Listened when the unit was running to see if I could hear where the noise was coming from.
UNPLUGGED the freezer!!
The noise seemed to be coming from the back inside so I took out 4 Phillips screws in the back that was easily accessed. Removed the panel and took a look inside, this panel reveled cooling coils, a fan and interconnection tubes and wires.
I found that the fan blades had moved back on the shaft to the motor...

Broken fan blade Thomas H. • West Blocton , AL • April 21, 2014
I used a set of ring pliers to remove the old retaining ring, then spread the plastic ribs around the fan motor shaft with a small flat bladed screwdriver to ease removal of the old fan blade. I reversed the process to replace the blade, gently tapping a socket from my socket wrench set placed over the motor shaft and ribs with a small rubber mallet. I stopped when the shaft protruded about 1/8" beyond the plastic ribs of the new fan blade, then installed the new retaining clamp ring with the...

I bought a new cooling motor and blade and installed it, everything seems to be working fine now, did not take that long to fix, maybe about 30 minutes, the longest part was trying to get the old fan off the old motor, finally had to cut it off with bolt cutters, I have a 12 year old LG Refrigerator 26930 double door, if you are handy its not that hard. I had to remove a couple parts in front of the motor to get to it, but very easy. Better than buying a new refrigerator...:). I replaced the...

The blower wheel in the dryer separated from the nut Stefan K. • Youngsville , NC • February 25, 2016
It was a relatively easy fix - if you know how to take the dryer apart. If you don't, there are plenty of YouTube videos explaining how. Make sure you find your model.
Since the wheel had separated from the nut, it wasn't quite as easy and holding the shaft and loosening the wheel. I had to remove (destroy) the wheel first. Then I was left with the nut on the shaft. The nut was seated on the shaft a lot tighter than I expected and took some force to get off. Once it was off, putting the new...

I replaced the dryer motor. I followed the repair video on the Appliance Parts Pro site, with a few modifications to the procedure. I loosened the control panel and flipped it forward to improve access to the wiring connectors. I also loosened the front panel and tipped it forward before disconnecting the door switch as there wasn't enough space to disconnect the switch otherwise. Removal of the blower assembly required the use of penetrating lubricant as the assembly was stuck on the motor...

Oven not heating correctly taking too long to heat Ken S. • Dothan , AL • February 09, 2016
Changed out the Fan. Oven turns all heaters on to quickly get to temperature - the sensor probe is next to the broil heater - it quickly senses the broil element heat and claims a false oven temperature and "reaches" set temperature at the sensor probe. Changing the fan causes the air to circulate during this time - so the entire oven heats up. The Fan is supposed run in Bake mode during heat up. The Fan blade nut is a left hand thread - turn CCW to tighten and Clockwise to loosen - RIGHTY...
