Replaces a cracked, broken, or worn ice dispenser lever on your refrigerator freezer door. Press this actuator with your glass to release ice.
A friend's ice dispenser was not working so I told them I'd see what I could find on the forum. Originally I thought the micro switch had gone out. When I received the part and went to replace it I found that the little plastic tab that engages the micro switch was actually broken off on the Ice Actuator. I returned the switch and got the correct part. It arrived in a couple of days. It took about 15 minutes to replace. Everything is working great now. The repair was pretty easy to do. I found... Removed water catcher, then 4 screws in water/ice vault in door, then removed screws on door side (5) top (2) and bottom (2). Removed stainless door skin. Removed 4 hex head bolts in ice/water vault (containing pads) and 4 bolts on the module immediately above the vault. Pulled the vault and module above out part way to unplug one cable. Then laid on table to unplug pads. From back, each pad has a small indent preventing the pad from being pushed up and removed. Push the small indent with a... Read more

Bought OEM replacement part. The new part had all the retaining clips that had broken off of old part. Needed new stick-on label to dress up the replacement shroud. Hardest part of the repair was disconnecting the wired module on back of old shroud. Feared I might snap off those retaining clips, too! Best part of experience of AppliancePartsPros.com was the help received to confirm parts ordered were grey to match the original install on stainless steel Frigidaire. Read more

My husband expected we needed a new dishwasher but I insisted on trying to fix it first. You need a Torx screwdriver so make sure you have a set. A little difficult to get cover back on and lined up by myself, but I managed and this was my first attempt at major appliance repair. I replaced the entire console and the dispenser. Still working after 3 loads so my husband may have to eventually admit that I fixed it. Read more

Replacement drip tray for refrigerator water and ice dispenser. Installs below dispenser opening. Replace if cracked, warped, discolored, or missing.
After using the crushed ice feature on my KitchenAid French Door refrigerator, the ice maker wouldn't stop dispensing ice, crushed or cubed. I thought it had to do with the paddle switch being stuck or something else in the door, but all door components seemed to be working as intended. I ended up pulling the ice maker out and disconnecting the wires to the auger so that I could leave the refrigerator plugged in. I call AppliancePartsPros.com the following morning and explained my situation.... Read more

Door solenoid with plunger.
I ordered a new solenoid and when it arrived, I installed it as follows: I cut the power to the refrigerator. I then pulled off the rubber boot (and it's plastic frame) that covers the water switch. Then I removed the bezel that covers the front of the ice maker controls by pulling it straight out. Then I removed the four screws found on the assembly under the bezel. After pulling the assembly forward a bit, I detached the multi-wire connector attached to it and put the assembly aside.... Read more
