Heating Element

Installed replacement burner. Not a one-to-one fit where the wiring is concerned but everything needed to effect the change out was provided with the part. It is important to make notes of what was connected to what on the old one and to compare that to the new one. I used a download of the wiring diagram to good effect because it has the color code for the wiring on it. • No heat or not enough heat

• Little to no heat when baking

Turned off 40 Amp breaker. Removed shelves from oven. Removed two screws in back panel holding element in place. Slowly pulled element free making sure wires stayed attached and not lost in oven insulation. Removed two wires from old element. Attached wires to new element. Pushed wires back into oven rear wall. Reinstalled the previously removed two screws. Turned on breaker. Total time less than 10 minutes. Read more

I removed two screws at rear of oven, disconnected electrical connectors, and removed old element. When the new element arrived (on time), I connected the new element and replaced the two screws. The oven worked perfectly! The repair was extremely easy and cost effective. Read more

Removed 4" wide vertical panel that had two protrude contacts then remove the assembly that attach of 5 screws. then reverse process with the new one. Read more

Ordered the replacement part the recommended by your parts department. I then watched a video so I knew what was in Store. The part arrived in less than 2 days & 15 minutes later I was baking brownies!!!!! Voila!!! Done deal!!! Now I am going to order a second one to replace the lower oven's element since it's been 'off' for over a year. I ordered the both the Pcb assembly and a heater sheath. Upon accessing the Pcb, I immediately discovered it had failed miserably, (contacts burnt and melted, wiring and insulation on one wire suffered severe electrical damage. To put it bluntly a small electrical fire had occurred on the circuit board. There was enough slack in the damaged wire so I removed the affected area, replaced the terminal. So I ordered the burner and Ithe switch because I wasn't sure what part was defective. I pulled the oven out and I removed the 6 1/4 inch screws on each side of the glass top as well as the 2 Phillips head screws on the back, removing the 2 1/4 screws on the shield on the back gIves you easier access to them, then lifted the glass top up on the front to access the switch and burners. Used multimeter to diagnose no continuity through heating element. Took out element and found underwire from a bra (C-cup I think...) had shorted it and caused a break. Replaced heating element and ... still no heat. Found that one of the fuses had no continuity also. Replaced the fuse and everything working fine. Read more

I did some research on the internet to find the part I needed. I came upon your web site Applianceparts pros.com and watched you videos. After watching your video on how to replace the broiler element, I ordered the broiler element. It came in a few days. I ordered new elements and connection blocks, ripped out the old ones and installed the new ones. The ordered parts came in quickly and were exactly what I ordered. The most difficult part of the repair was cutting through the little screws that had rusted and corroded over the decades.
