The parts arrived in a timely fashion. I was able to replace the valve and pressure switch in a relatively short time - about an hour. After years of replacing the female electric latch switch that controlled the operation of the machine, I discovered that the window/door's handle's connection to its male latching hook had failed. The two were no longer interconnected. Also, the window/door's frame and hinge were materially "fatigued" meaning the hinge/body assembly was allowing the window/door to sag - causing the misaligned door/window to machine body electric latch switch to break when the window/door was closed. Replaced both hinges... simple repair, took about 20 minutes. My only issue is that I replaced these hinges a year and a half ago to repair the same problem. Seems like Whirlpool could have designed a better door. Read more

I ordered the door hinge cam kit, both the hinge, lower and upper cam. I followed videos found on the web. I would recommend taking the refrigerator door off by removing the upper hinge bracket and lifting the door off the lower hinge. It was much easier to replace the hinge and cam with the door off. One video suggested using Di-electric grease to lubricate the cam surfaces. Read more

Purchased door springs from Appliance Parts pros.com, installed them and door on our Dishwasher was back to normal, Had to pull out dishwasher from under cupboard to get to springs, as they were on the sides of the dishwasher. Read more

• Door won't close

I replaced the hinges and hinge mounts. Upon inspection of the mounts, it seems that they had become slightly deformed on the lower portion, where the heel of the hinge applies pressure to the frame. Probably didn't need new springs, just the mounts, but I just kept em in anyway. Easy fix, anybody can do it, good instructions in the kit. Very pleased with appliancepartspro speed of delivery. Called repairman who said he could not fix it, which I did not believe. Read about issue on line and confirmed the issue to be hinges when disassembled. Ordered, easy replacement, and door works perfect. Did not use backing plates, but likely not worth returning due to freight. Great service by your team. Read more
