Replaced upper and lower thimble's, lever arm, cam closure. Door stop was not the problem, but ordered it and replaced it too. The door of course has to come off, remove the top hinge, and lift it away. Lubricated moving parts with silicone spray. Be sure and put the door back in the open position, so the lever arm and cam closure can properly interact, then close the door. Remove the plastic grate at the bottom to get at the lever arm. The left hinge works on the right side as well as the left. All you have to do is unscrew the little plastic post and move it to the other hole. So even though the web might say that the left hinge assembly is not compatible with your fridge, or that the right hinge assembly is no longer available, it will still work. Ordered the pieces from here. Downloaded the user manual. I never work on appliances but I couldn't justify the $200 a service tech would have charged to fix a $35 part. Followed the manual and removed the door. Replaced the broken plastic pieces. BE VERY CAREFUL not to strip the screws. I did and that's another story. Very easy to fix. You will need a second person to help guide the door back onto the frame. Read more
