1. Purchased a new Facade. The removal of the old one was relatively easy except that the two screws that hold it in place (behind the spill tray) were rusted (they should have used stainless steel ones) one came out with a vise grip but on the other I had to buy an "Easy Out" tool from Home Depot, once out the unit drops down. Ordered a new Faceplate Graphics, removed old faceplate and installed new. Required removing control panel with switches and display, including 10 screws to get to the faceplate. Faceplate has glue on rim, so had to peel off old faceplate, remove residue, then put on new. Not difficult, but reaching to remove the screws was a little challenging in a small kitchen. Pretty easy job for a DIYer. The control panel gets loose when the plastic tabs break for one reason or the other. You can replace the control board housing without having to replace the control board. Note also that the control board housing comes with a new control overlay label, so you don't need to buy the label like I did. Using the model number of the frig, I located the part (Interface Dispenser Asm) on the AppliancePartsPros.com. After reading the Q&A section for hints on how to change the part and looking at a couple of YouTube videos, it seemed that I was up to the task. After reading online I decided to attempt installing the control panel. For this particular model, I removed 4 screws at top inside (2 center are longer fyi). There is one more holding the panel in the center, but the front door panel needs to be removed. There are screws all along the inside. Remove those and slide the door panel up and out. Removed old label, took the glue residue off, wiped it down with rubbing alcohol then attached the new label on to the fridge. Read more

Easiest fix in the world! Took a painters putty knife and pried off the panel. Panel popped off and iI just replaced it. Make sure you turn the power off first before you start your repair. Read more
