Purchase new agitator and pop it into place. This was truly one of the easiest repairs I've ever made. My fault, but the only problem I had was that I didn't realize that the agitator and the agitator cap were two separate parts. I ordered the agitator first, paid for shipping, then when it arrived, I realized I needed to also order the agitator cap. I could have probably saved some $ on shipping if I'd ordered them both at the same time. Even with the additional shipping, this is still far... Read more

The bolt that holds the agitator and the agitator cam was rusted in place so it made the project way more difficult than it should have been. Had to cut the agitator off the shaft and cut the head of the frozen bolt off. Thankfully, Appliance Pros had all three parts I needed. Once the parts arrived it only took ten minutes to fix. Since the house was going to be full for Christmas, the fast shipping really, really helped. Was able to get it done before the guests arrived. Read more

The splines inside the bottom agitator that are supposed to fit snug with the agitator shaft were worn down and couldn't catch the shaft anymore. I removed the entire agitator then pulled the top agitator part off of the lower agitator part. I then replaced the lower agitator with the new one I purchased and kept the old top agitator part (the top part was still in good condition and didn't need replacing, although I did replace the "agitator dogs" because they're very cheap and figured it... Fixes clothes not getting clean or agitator sections separating during wash cycles. This upper agitator restores proper washing action in top-loaders.
When the drum finally started to list during washings, I knew I couldn't keep screwing the two parts of the agitator together as a temporary fix anymore so I called a technician who promptly and erroneously told me that the entire unit would need to be replaced. This didn't seem right so I checked online and found APP. I'm very thankful I did. The videos, instructions, and parts made the repair possible. With my uncle's elbow grease (taking the old agitator out was no picnic), we were able to... Read more
