Color: White. This washer lint filter is also known as the upper agitator.
Bought a new upper agitator/filter housing. Just slide it over the bottom agitator housing and put the cap from the old one on the new one. Takes maybe 3 minutes to do. The screen inside the lower part of the housing/filter holds it snug to the bottom housing and does not fly off during the spin cycle. Works great. Read more
This is a replacement washer washplate cap that will work for several models of washers. This cap fits over the washplate mounting bolt located in the washer and protects the bolt from water. It ensures that clothing does not catch on the washplate, which could damage the clothes. If the cap becomes damaged, it should be replaced. The metal washplate cap is durable and long-lasting, so it should not need to be replaced often. However, if it is coming loose or has been damaged, it can be replaced with relative ease. They should always unplug the washer before starting any type of repair or replacement. They should also wear work gloves to protect their hands when replacing the cap.The washer washplate cap works on certain models of washers from Whirlpool and Maytag. This part is sold individually, and it is an OEM replacement that has been sourced directly from the manufacturer.

This is a genuine OEM replacement agitator coupling part for washing machines. The role of an agitator coupler is to act as a connector between the agitator and the agitator shaft in the washing machine. If a coupler is damaged, there are some common symptoms that may be noticeable including: a grinding sound during the wash cycle, the washer refusing to agitate or spin, or the washing machine shaking and moving during the wash cycle. Other signs may include very wet clothes or the motor spinning without the drum rotating. Above all, the most common symptom is simply a loud, unpleasant noise while the machine is operating. This replacement agitator coupling part is compatible with General Electric, RCA, JCPenney, and Hotpoint washers. This coupling is used specifically for 20 spline drive shaft transmissions. The agitator coupling piece comes with instructions to make the installation process as quick and simple as possible.
Removing the aluminum hub was ridiculous. this part should come with the rubber piece that is directly below it. removing that rubber piece is essential to the repair and is quite a battle to get off. To remove the aluminum hub ( no fasteners just a friction fit) I tried a 2 arm automotive wheel puller which pulled the arms through the aluminum with out budging the part. I finally resorted to using a Sawsall to cut a vertical slit into the hub down to the shaft so I could split it and get it... Read more

I have a 25 year old Kenmore washer that works well and didn't want to get a new washer as they don't make them like they used to. Upon removing the top cap of the agitator and doing an inspection, the agitator dogs were completely broken into pieces. Due to age we decided to replace the lower and upper agitator along with the agitator auger dogs repair kit. All new parts and works fine. On inspection of old parts, we probably could have gotten away with just a $5 repair for the plastic... Read more

I had to replace the drive shaft and the lower agitator. The motor coupling was also worn out. The repair was challenging because I had to rebuild the gear box. This step was really messy and I had to wait for the liquid gasket to set prior to completing the repair. Cleaning and prep of all of the parts tripled the repair time. Read more

Purchase new agitator and pop it into place. This was truly one of the easiest repairs I've ever made. My fault, but the only problem I had was that I didn't realize that the agitator and the agitator cap were two separate parts. I ordered the agitator first, paid for shipping, then when it arrived, I realized I needed to also order the agitator cap. I could have probably saved some $ on shipping if I'd ordered them both at the same time. Even with the additional shipping, this is still far... Read more

The bolt that holds the agitator and the agitator cam was rusted in place so it made the project way more difficult than it should have been. Had to cut the agitator off the shaft and cut the head of the frozen bolt off. Thankfully, Appliance Pros had all three parts I needed. Once the parts arrived it only took ten minutes to fix. Since the house was going to be full for Christmas, the fast shipping really, really helped. Was able to get it done before the guests arrived. Read more
