After doing some research the problem appeared to be the door safety switches. I ordered 3 new ones to replace all the original ones. Some minor disassembly of the microwave front was required to reach the fuse and switches. To reach the switches the control panel wires needed to be unplugged and the panel removed. I found a few videos on YouTube about other dryers that gave me enough information to figure out my own. I was able to pull out the heater element and replace it with a new one that arrived the day after I purchased it. I also replaced the thermal fuse and thermostat. Read more

Called AppliancePartsPros because of good experiencing diagnosing problem with a dishwasher repair. We definitely are modest income amateurs! Same excellent response to our questions. Three possible causes. Used easy search menu to fine replacement parts. Bought all three, knowing that if all not needed, the others could be returned (within 365 days) for refund. I was able to find the model number on the lower right hand side of the range/oven, a GE True Temp. I Googled it to find parts, and thought I had found the correct sensor, but was very pleased that the ApplianceParts sire suggested I check compatability again before the order. I would have ordered the wrong sensor kit other wise. I DID get the correct one order. It arrived on time. It is difficult (if not impossible) to remove the electronic switches from the hard plastic latches. I replaced all three switches and both the upper and lower latches I also replaced the main 20 amp ceramic fuse which blew out when the latch/switches failed. Read more

I had to remove the dishwasher about 6 inches then remove the door springs and remove the door. Next was to open the cover to reach the circuit board and remove it. The new board was put in and attached the plug. and put the door back together and reinstall the door and springs. Turned the power to check that the lights came on. After confirming I again had power, I turned the breaker off and reinstalled the dishwasher in the cabinet and restored power. Lastly I ran the machine to ensure that... Read more
