Washing machines create a vibration during the spin cycle that requires a washer damper vibration shock absorber to reduce. When there is excessive movement or shaking with the washing machine in operation, the washer damper vibration shock absorber may be worn out, damaged, or missing. When this occurs, the part must be replaced to prevent further damages to the appliance or surrounding objects. Replacing a washer damper vibration shock absorber is a simple repair. It is located near the bottom of the appliance. Before starting the replacement, unplug the device to prevent possible electrical shock. Wear safety gloves for protection. Make sure the part is secured in place before reassembling and starting the washing machine. When the repair is done correctly, the vibration and movement will noticeably decrease during the spin cycle. This washer damper vibration shock absorber is a genuine OEM replacement part. It is sold individually. The washer damper vibration shock absorber is sourced directly from the manufacturer. The piece is made of durable, high-quality materials. It is compatible with washing machines made by General Electric. Other brands that this replacement part can be installed in include Hotpoint, RCA, Sears, and Kenmore.
