I received my new part in about 3-4 days. Part was exact match for my existing motor. After watching the installation video on this website I was able to garner the rudimentary directions to replace the motor. The video did not match the exact fridge I had. Replaced drive motor assembly. As luck would have it, the replacement motor was loud but at least ran for the entire cycle. APP was informed of the excessively noisy motor and immediately sent out a replacement, which is working just fine in relative silence. The drum was hesitating and then not turning at all with an error code. Wife also smelled "something burning", which of course is never a good sign. Ordered a new stator and had my LG washer back up and running 15 minutes after getting the $100 stator via FedEx. This is the third repair on this machine in 8 years, all parts received from APP!!!! By process of elimination I concluded that the condenser was working fine since the freezer seemed to work fine. However, there was a noise coming from the condenser fan motor as well. I first emptied out both the refrigerator and freezer. I first wanted to check the evaporator motor and fan to see if that was the problem. I unplugged the refrigerator. Opened up hinged bottom of microwave and saw that the old motor had come loose from its secure position. I decided to replace the old motor with the new one and secured it into place, which was very simple--just a matter of unplugging the old motor's connection; plugging in the new one; securing the motor in place with one screw; closing up the hinged bottom; putting in the new coupler; and checking to see if it works. Exhausts horizontally to the outside....look at the picture of that beautiful motor.... The hood is nearly 30 years old.. I had replaced the blowers a few years ago and re painted the hood also from white to black to match the oven.... what a beautiful hood matching my beautiful oven !!! ...
