Bobby E. for Model Number WTMC3321US/06 I was cleaning the lint filter box on my dryer and when I started it after cleaning there was lint fire in the heating element box. I put it out with a powder extinguisher. Clean the entire dryer this time inside. Can I still use dryer? Should I still use dryer? Was going to replace heating element just to be cautious.
Answer Hello Bobby, If the unit is cleaned out, the exhaust is clear all the way to the outside, and no wiring has had damage to the insulation, there is no reason why the unit should be unsafe.
