Ian *edit from previous post* My Bosch dishwasher won't turn on. Model SHX55R55UC/64. Pressing on/off switch does nothing - still no light. I checked the power and it is getting to the machine, no breaker tripped... Should there be continuity in the on/off switch? I tested and there wasn't any... I've read about the thermal fuse but I don't know where that is on this washer. Door latch fuse has continuity...
Answer Ian, when testing the switch, you will want to test pin 1 to 2, 3 to 4, and 5 to 6 for continuity. When the switch is engaged, there should be continuity through the switch. If the switch tests good, then you will want to test for voltage at the control [00705665]. If voltage is getting to the control, then the control would be the issue. Read More...
