Walt for Model Number Kenmore #25336801892 I just finished cleaning this refrigerator in the back yard with the garden hose, used to keep in the garage for extra soda and ice. It has been standing upright forever so I don't think it's the compressor oil locking it up. I plugged it up. It was working just fine before I cleaned it and for 30 minutes or so after I finished cleaning it. The freezer fan was blowing, the refrigerator light was on, and it was cooling. Now the compressor is not kicking on at all and both compartments are warming up. The refrigerator light is on, but the freezer fan isn't blowing. It's as if some parts of the machine aren't getting power. With this older model, replacing the compressor is not going to happen. Could the capacitor be the problem? Should I totally unplug it since the compressor is very warm? How do you troubleshoot this?
Answer Hi Walt. It sounds like you could use compressor starter relay part #5304491944. Make sure both your condensor and evaporator fans work and temperature controls are both set mid point. Hope this helps. Thanks. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, June 23, 2011
