Joe for Model Number LFHT1713LWZ I have a frigidaire, and have been having problems with the freezer not freezing food, I have done some troubleshooting on the following items, temperature control, defrost thermostat and control, cleaned the debris from the condenser coils, and checked the winding on the compressor, I was wondering if the run start capacitor could be faulty and if so what signs would I be looking for. I'm Going to troubleshoot it, just was wondering if this could be the problem because on the frigidaire website it states that this is one of the issues with the freezer not getting cold, that could occur from a bad capacitor. Thank you.
Answer Hello Joe. If the compressor is not running and there is no cooling going on, then yes, it could be the relay overload. However, if it is cooling some, then you most likely have a sealed system issue and will need an HVAC tech since all other parts were checked to be good. Read More...
