Dave for Model Number Frigidaire Model FFU21K2CW1 My freezer works great for 2 weeks then seems to go into a defrost mode and not come out of it. I unplug the freezer for 8 hours plug it back in and works great again. Is the relay bad or the capacitor.
Answer Dave, It would be neither, at this point, you need to suspect an air leak around the door gasket, use a thick piece of paper or dollar bill and make sure there is resistance,when you pull the paper out from between the door and front flange of the freezer cabinet. Then check the cold control, it could be sticking, causing excessive run time. This style freezer has no "defrost" components. Thanks and Good Luck. Read More...
