Mike for Model Number FFU20FK1CW1 My upright freezer was working fine until a couple days ago when it started thawing out. There was no frost on the condenser but I did have to clean out the drain. I thought the defrost timer was sticking so I turned the knob until there was a solid click and waited for it to go thru the defrost cycle.I heard the compressor try to come on and then stop after a few seconds. The compressor was pretty warm. It never did start cooling again. What could the problem be?
Answer Hi Mike. There is a run relay on the compressor. If it is defective then you will hear the compressor windings trying to kick in. This part # is 5304491585.
