Jon for Model Number Frigidaire freezer model # FFU11FC2CW1 My freezer is approx. 10 years old. It ran very well. I unplugged it about 5 years ago when I moved. It has been unplugged for about 4 years. Recently I plugged it back in. It will not run. All I got was a squeal and humming sound then it went silent. Any ideas on what’s wrong or do you need additional info.
Answer Hello John, the freezer may have gone into a defrost cycle. At the rear by the compressor is the defrost ttimer, you can manually turn it with a screwdriver in the center, turn it slightly and see if anything changes.
