Mat My upright freezer is about 5 years old. It simply stopped working. The lights still function properly, but the compressor will not turn on at all. It was running and freezing fine, no noises, etc. I've tried unplugging it, turning the thermostat to off for a time and turning it back on, etc. The thermostat will not make the typical click sound when I rotate the dial and the compressor will not turn on at all. Thoughts?
Answer Mat, Based on the information provided the thermostat would need to be tested for continuity, and if it has no continuity it would need to be replaced. I am sorry but we would need the model and the serial number of your machine to do further research. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, June 8, 2020
