Joe W. for Model Number Frigidare FRT 18 TPH Refrigerator/Freezer R/F unit operated normally since purchase, about 4 yrs. Problem, the compressor began to buzz and kick-off, after 24 hrs being unpluged, R/F operated normally. A few days later, the unit began the same pattern, except will not start as normal cooling/freezing. Is the problem the Starter/overload Assy?
Answer Hello Joe. You can check and see if the relay/overload is bad, if so, it will cause the unit to do that. However, if the unit is building up head pressure, you will need to replace the compressor 5304511983.
