So, I'm thinking no start relay or overload. I'm guessing maybe a run capacitor or a friend suggested replacing the R12 refridgerant (can this be done?). I'm planning to turn this thing into a kegerator and using an external thermostat.
Answer Hello, If the compressor ran for two days and was barely cooler than room temperature, you definitely have a sealed system issue. Either the sealed system has a leak and you have lost freon, or the sealed system has a partial restriction and cannot properly circulate the freon in the system to effectively remove the heat from the unit.
