Luckey for Model Number Kenmore 79578302804 Hello, I wrote a few days ago about my frig not working. I replaced the computer board and now the top refrigerator blower is not blowing only the freezer part is working. What can I do other than scrap this junk?
Answer Hello Luckey. You will need to test for power to the evaporator fan motor. If there is power there and it does not work, you will need to replace the fan motor. If the fan is running, but the damper in the top is not opening, you may need to replace the damper assembly. Also, make sure the coils in the freezer are not frosted over indicating a defrost issue. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
